Anthony Edwards shares hilarious take on battle with Kevin Durant

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards battled two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant in Saturday's Game 1 win over the Phoenix Suns and lived to tell the tale. However, he admitted to being mesmerized by KD's wizardry. 

Speaking with reporters after the 120-95 T-Wolves victory, Edwards confessed to briefly becoming "a fan" while watching Durant go to work.  

"I was out there like god d--- he nice. It was like there was nothing we could do," Edwards said via the NBA. "KAT was playing great defense. Rudy was playing great defense, and it's just like he don't see you. I'm looking at the stat sheet. He was 11-for-17. He missed six shots and had 31. I mean, he's the greatest to ever do it, man. My hat tips to him."

Durant led the Suns with 31 points, while Edwards had a game-high 33 points for the Timberwolves. The two stars went toe-to-toe for most of the game, with some trash-talking mixed in. Edwards confirmed that KD was his "favorite player of all time," calling their battle one of the highlights of his basketball career and life.
