Charles Barkley Makes Intriguing Revelation on His ‘Inside the NBA’ Contract
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Ever since it debuted in 1989, Inside the NBA has been a favorite among fans due to its entertaining and informative take on the league. But for Charles Barkley, one of the show’s hosts, his contract contains an intriguing detail that helps him sleep better at night.

Inside the NBA first aired on TNT during the 1989-90 season with a revolving door of hosts, including the late Craig Sager, Tim Brando, and Hannah Storm. It wasn’t until 2000 when the show would gain Ernie Johnson Jr., Kenny Smith, and the former power forward as the core hosts. More than a decade later, Shaquille O’Neal joined the team and has been with them ever since.

Throughout the years, Chuck has shot various takes on the hottest issues in the league. Whether it’s LeBron James winning a ring in Cleveland, Kevin Durant signing with the Warriors, or recent events, such as Nikola Jokic’s MVP case or Stephen Curry’s title window closing, the former power forward always shared his mind on these things no matter how absurd or wild they are.

But with the league’s next media deal up for grabs, there’s a chance TNT will lose its coverage of the league. At this point in time, there are rumors the deal can go to NBC, Apple, or even Amazon. Whether this happens or not, Chuck is safely insulated from this massive change.
