Former Ghanaian striker Kevin-Prince Boateng has announced his retirement.

Boateng has played for clubs such as Barcelona, AC Milan, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund.

Now the attacker has announced via his social media that his career is over.

"I love you. But that was all for me. Thank you football for everything," he wrote on Instagram.

Hertha Berlin was his last club. Boateng played 16 games in the Bundesliga last season.
